Disaster Relief
Lawyers Alliance helps nonprofits provide critical social services and emergency funds to people affected by terrorism, natural disasters, and other tragedies.
We launched our Disaster Relief Initiative in the aftermath
of September 11, 2001, to assist nonprofits affected by the
disaster and those that were responding to it. We continue
to represent and provide legal information to New York nonprofits
assisting victims of September 11, Hurricane
Katrina, and other disasters. We have helped nonprofits with
disaster relief legal matters related to fundraising and grant-making,
expansion and downsizing, and compliance with tax-exempt organizations
law.
